Shaft Seal SBM Type GR1 D.50mm with bronze Log Assy

Shaft seal GR-1 type is working through contact between a stainless steel rotor fixed on the propeller shaft and a carbon graphite flange fixed on the stern tube.
This type of seal can work without any problem connected to movement on vibration of propeller shaft.
Working is secured by compression of the reinforced rubber bellow together water compression. (for pretensioning of bellow see table «R»)
Installation must be arranged previous compression of bellow (mm 25) that may need frequent inspection (twice each year).
We suggest replacement of bellow every five years.
To avoid any problem don’t fix steel rotor in presence of grease, oil or lubrificants.
