Preceded by the innovative scope of the 74, and the commercial success of the 50, the new 43 is the newest addition to the Magellano Collection.
Within 13 meters is a concentration of all of the features of the Magellano Collection: smooth navigation in all conditions, excellent cruising range in a modern and Italian take on the traditional trawler.
Destined not only for the high seas: there are two versions – Flybridge and Hard Top -to meet owners’ varying needs, the new Magellano 43 is also particularly suited for inland waters navigation.
The flybridge version will be in display at the coming Cannes Boat Show; while the Hard Top version, together with the full Magellano range, will be launched at Genoa Boat Show.
AZIMUT 43 MAGELLANO
THE STYLE AND SPIRIT OF THE MAGELLANO COLLECTION INTERPRETED IN THE NEW 43
Boating for the sole pleasure of navigating and enjoying nature, without haste, even on routes that are less traveled This is the spirit of the Azimut Yachts Magellano Collection, which is strengthened
with the new Magellano 43. It may store up to 1680 liters of fuel, allowing the boat a significant cruising range at 9 – 10 knots, whilst guaranteeing the comfort of a displacement hull, yet it is ready
to perform like a planing boat at any time and able to accelerate and reach top speeds of 18 to 22 knots, propelled by two 5.9-liter Cummins QSB engines, with a choice of 305mhp or 355 mhp.
A SMOOTH AND COMFORTABLE BOATING EXPERIENCE
It’s the idea behind the entire Magellano Collection. And we’ve met our objective with the “Dual Mode” hull designed by Bill Dixon. Indeed the design of the hull is what allows the boat to comfortably sail equally well at displacement speeds and planing speeds.
In “Dual-mode”, the round shape of the hull that characterizes the keel line, coupled with wide hard chines and a massive forward section ending with a vertical bow, all come together to create a
reduction in pitch and a significant reduced impact with waves.
The Result: an extremely smooth and comfortable boating experience at a range of different speeds and equal performance in calm and rough waters.
In addition, the unique hull design provides more efficiency at low and medium speeds compared to a traditional planing hull that has an equal displacement and waterline length. This translates into
a reduction of fuel consumption even at cruising speeds of between 14 and 18 knots. A speed at which a growing number of yachtsmen are keen to economically and comfortably travel.

On the upper bridge, starboard side one finds a second helm seat, a perfect location to control the boat from a birds-eye position. The Magellano Collection’s convivial spirit is ever present, with a large C-shaped sofa, combined with an up/down table right beside the helm seat, to allow family members and guests to spend time with the captain. In the aft area, there is a wet bar with a refrigerator and icemaker, a sink, a barbecue and a bar counter. The GRP structural mast performs the function of support for the onboard antennas in
addition to adding another design touch to the craft.
13METRES OF COMFORT, CONVENIENCE AND FUNCTIONALITY
Quality of life on board depends largely on living spaces. The Magellano 43 has been designed for long range boating and with attention being paid to every detail in order to maximize the
optimization of the craft’s space.

The levels of performance described apply to a standard craft (with standard equipment installed) with clean hull, propeller and rudders. Moreover, it is specified that such levels of performance were achieved under favorable sea and wind conditions (1 on the Beaufort scale and 1 on the Douglas scale); in the case of diverse or less favorable sea conditions performance levels may vary considerably.
Owing to constant technological developments, Azimut-Benetti S.p.A. reserves the right to modify the technical specifications of its boats at any time and without prior notice.
